Micro-Cash Flow Pet Care Loan Application Outline For Responsible Pet Guardians
The Pet Tenders Foundation will consider providing cash-flow loans to people in transitional hardship situations resulting from unavoidable disasters. Loans will be made in the form of payments to the pet care provider* on behalf of the borrower. Loans will not exceed $500 and must be repaid according to a mutually agreed-upon payment schedule within 6 months of the borrower regaining custody of the pet(s). If approved, borrowers must sign a binding legal contract agreeing to repay the loan to the Pet Tenders Foundation. (Note: At the present time, the PTF has the resources to support only one loan at a time, and preference will be given to Franklin Co., MO residents.)
Borrowers must submit written application letter demonstrating:
- Prior Responsible Pet Guardianship.
- Describe pet(s) for whom pet care is presently needed?
- Are pet(s) spayed/neutered and up to date on vaccinations?
- Who is the pet’s veterinarian? (Contact Information and name under which pet is listed)
- How long have you had the pet(s) in need of care?
- What other pets have you had in the last 10 years and what happened to them?
- Unavoidable Transitional Hardship creating need for pet care loan.
Please tell us about yourself and explain as specifically as possible the circumstances of your present hardship. It would help to understand as much as possible about the situation you’re now in which prevents you from caring for your pet(s). Please also include an explanation of your job & financial situation.

*Note: The Pet Tenders Foundation currently has a working agreement for the provision of cat care with the Pet Tender’s Boarding Cattery. Therefore, Applicant must submit PTBC Reservation and Pet Information forms with application letter. See: www.MoCatBoarding.com If Applicant desires pet care services elsewhere, s/he should so stipulate in the application as the Foundation would need to develop a working agreement of that pet care provider.
